The idea

Compose the story of your life, or someone else, by combining the most important experiences into a timeline.

Keep your recollections safe and secure without giving your private data away.

Share experiences and emotions.

Reflect on the past and your life – loved ones, friends, experiences and choices.

No advertising. No Surveillance.

The app

Assemble the experiences, people, places and events from your life into individual memory cards.

Enrich your memories with contributions from the people who were there.

Arrange the memory cards into a story and view by time, place or people.

Group together your and other peoples' memories to create collections by subject or theme.

Sample memory cards

Create your memories and store them as "cards" (see below for examples). Then arrange these cards onto a timelime to view them in chronological order. Add titles, places, times, a description plus picture, videos and audio to create the story of your life.

Ireland | 1960

Our community is a group of people who enjoy spending time reflecting on their lives, and the lives of loved ones.

They know that social media is not the place to do that.

Yarns is the place to gather the most important memories of your life. And that is a space that must be private. Without surveillance or monitoring. Therefore, we don't allow any in-app advertising.

About us

Yarns exists to spread compassion. That is our purpose. That is why we are here. Because, remembering is what it means to be human. Remembering helps us deal with loss. The loss loved ones. The loss of relevance. The loss of youth. The loss of ones’ faculties.

Yarns was created by a group of like-minded people living in the US, the UK and India. Based in the US, with a development team in India, and design and marketing colleagues in the UK and the US, we have decades of life experiences.
